Job summary

ArrowCore Group is seeking a highly skilled MySQL DBA to join the Infrastructure operations team in India. You will work with development and product teams to ensure 99.9% availability of database services across applications.

The role requires 10+ years in database/ streaming tech, expert PostgreSQL/MySQL knowledge, and strong scripting for automation. On-call rotation with on-site collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master degree in computer science or Information Technology.
• 10+ years experience in database/ streaming technologies.
• Expert in PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
• Expert in database and SQL tuning; strong troubleshooter.
• Strong Shell, Python and SQL scripting to automate DB related jobs.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Consul, Splunk.
• Proven ability to work independently or as an integral member of a team and has excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with low level debugging tools: strace, tcpdump, gdb, lsof and netstat.
• Write a simple piece of software in any language that does anything.

We are searching for a highly skilled passionate MySql DBA with solid skills to join the Infrastructure operations team. In this highly paced and dynamic role, you will work closely with the development teams and product management to ensure that we are delivering robust, reliable, consistent and predictable database services to ensure 99.9 % availability to the applications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to issues within the Service Level Objective during your assigned on-call rotation.
• Expertise in supporting at least one of the technologies like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Expertise in caching technologies like Redis.
• Expertise in writing software in python/ Shell/ Ansible (or) any other, to improve the reliability, scalability and performance of our client’s infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot broken systems and services issues and also build new systems.
• Document the services we run and how to manage them.
