Tata Consultancy Services in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (PostgreSQL/EDB) for L2/L3 support. The role requires hands-on expertise to manage and optimize PostgreSQL environments, implement high availability, perform tuning, and ensure data integrity.

You will collaborate with developers, system admins, and stakeholders to deliver scalable database solutions, handle backups, DR planning, and patching, with a focus on security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of hands-on PostgreSQL/EDB experience.
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning and high availability.
• Proficiency in SQL and excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Certifications in PostgreSQL or EDB PostgreSQL are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Database administration of EDB PostgreSQL databases.
• PostgreSQL & EDB performance tuning for optimization.
• Guide on all aspects of PostgreSQL database management.
• Implement replication and failover for high availability.
• Create and maintain data models for integrity and efficient querying.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 5+years of Hands-on PostgreSQL & EDB DB database
• Knowledge Performance Tunning & High Availability.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL, proficiency in SQL

Good to have:

• Knowledge of SQL, Bank Domain, Servers, OS RHEL, Storage & Network

Requirement and skill:

• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills for database related issues.

• In-depth expertise and guidance on all aspects of EDB PostgreSQL database management
• PostgreSQL & EDB Database Performance Tuning and optimizing PostgreSQL databases for improved performance and responsiveness.
• PostgreSQL & EDB Database Management and High Availability Setup such as replication and failover mechanism, to ensure continuous access of data.
• Creating and maintaining data models to ensure data integrity and efficient querying.
• PostgreSQL & EDB Database Backup, Recovery and DR Planning, Setup & Management
• Implementing and maintaining database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and authentication.
