Job summary

VSI Infotech LLP is seeking a skilled Database Administrator (PostgreSQL) to manage, maintain, and optimise PostgreSQL databases that support critical business applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security, and high availability.

The role requires strong SQL skills, knowledge of Linux/Unix, experience with replication and monitoring, and familiarity with Bash scripting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• PostgreSQL certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain and optimise PostgreSQL databases that support critical business applications.
• Perform performance tuning, backup and recovery, and ensure high availability and security.
• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams; monitor and optimise database workloads.
• Leverage Bash scripting for automation and maintenance tasks.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git is an advantage.
