S&P Global is seeking a Data Steward to drive data governance and quality across enterprise assets. You will manage data lineage, metadata, and UAT support while partnering with Technology and Data Operations to standardize data practices.

Data Steward is an individual contributor role that is responsible for executing core data stewardship activities that ensure the accuracy, integrity, and governance of enterprise data assets. The Data Steward manages end‑to‑end lineage monitoring, maintains high‑quality metadata, enforces policy and control compliance, and supports UAT for database changes and product distribution. The role performs detailed data validation, vendor data reviews, and works closely with Technology and Data Operations teams to resolve issues and maintain consistent data standards across systems. Additionally, the Data Steward contributes to process improvement by driving standardization, enhancing documentation, and supporting the adoption of automation and AI‑enabled capabilities to improve data quality, reduce manual effort, and strengthen operational efficiency.
Develop expertise in the firms, funds, people dataset and its applications across the financial landscape. Engage in initiatives that enhance data quality, automation, and integration across workflows. Conduct data comparisons and analysis across datasets. Gain exposure to advanced analytical tools and methodologies while contributing to impactful projects. Collaborate with stakeholders in Operations, Technology, and Product teams to improve overall content delivery. Leverage and develop communication skills to articulate complex concepts to audiences with varied expertise levels.
Data Management & Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of complex, data-driven projects, including requirements gathering, analysis, and execution. Define features, user stories, and technology requirements, ensuring alignment with user and client needs.
Collaboration: Work with stakeholders across Operations, Technology, and Product teams to streamline workflows. Support technology teams with user story creation, bug identification, and agile development processes.
Data Quality & Governance: Analyse vendor data and develop effective ingestion strategies. Identify and implement automation opportunities using AI, Python, machine learning, or other data methodologies.
Visualization & Insights: Transform raw, complex data into actionable insights through effective visualization techniques. Stay informed about market trends and address data gaps to maintain relevance and accuracy.
