Job summary

Peoplefy Infosolutions in Pune is seeking a PCB manufacturing engineer to optimize SMT production planning and data preparation using Valor and related tooling. You will coordinate with global teams and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

The role requires 5–8 years in PCB manufacturing, familiarity with Gerber/ODB formats, IPC standards, and PCB design tools. Diploma or engineering degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Siemens Valor or similar PCB tooling.
• Strong knowledge of SMT processes: solder paste printing, SPI, P&P, reflow, AOI.
• Familiarity with PCB data formats: Gerber, ODB++, IPC-2581, BOM, Centroid/CPL, fabrication drawings.
• Experience creating and optimizing SMT machine programs.
• Proficient in PCB design tools: Xpedition, Altium Designer, PADS, OrCAD, KiCad.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFA reviews.
• Experience with CAM tools: CAM350, Valor, GerbTool.
• Understanding IPC standards: IPC-A-610, IPC-7351, IPC-2221, IPC-2581, IPC-6012.
• Exposure to ERP/PLM (SAP, Windchill, Enovia) a plus.
• Ability to document processes and manage ECOs; strong communication and organization.
• 5–8 years in PCB manufacturing, SMT planning; hands-on Valor and SMT programming preferred.

Job description

• Hands-on experience with Siemens Valor Process Preparation, Valor NPI, or similar PCB manufacturing engineering tools.
• Strong understanding of SMT manufacturing processes including solder paste printing, SPI, Pick & Place, reflow soldering, and AOI inspection.
• Knowledge of PCB manufacturing data formats such as Gerber, ODB++, IPC-2581, BOM, Centroid/CPL, and fabrication drawings.
• Experience in creating and optimizing machine programs for SMT equipment.
• Working knowledge of PCB design tools such as Xpedition, Altium Designer, PADS, OrCAD, or KiCad.
• Ability to perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews.
• Familiarity with CAM tools such as CAM350, Valor, GerbTool, or equivalent platforms.
• Knowledge of IPC standards including IPC-A-610, IPC-7351, IPC-2221, IPC-2581, and IPC-6012.
• Experience with ERP/PLM systems such as SAP, Windchill, or Enovia will be an added advantage.
• Understanding of manufacturing process documentation, work instructions, and engineering change management.

• 5-8 years of experience in PCB Manufacturing Industry, SMT Production Planning, PCB Data Preparation, or related functions.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens Valor and SMT programming environments preferred.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing, EMS, or PCB assembly industry will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to NPI, DFM/DFA, and industrialization activities.
• Understanding of SMT line balancing and production planning concepts.
• Knowledge of automation workflows and manufacturing process optimization.
