Job summary

92health in Chennai seeks a data analytics professional to transform clinic records into actionable metrics, forecasts, and AI test sets. You will work with the founders to build reports monthly and ensure data quality across systems.

You will develop stock and demand forecasts for pharmacy and optical counters and communicate results clearly to clinic owners, emphasizing reliability and impact.

About 92health

92health builds software that eye-care clinics run their day on: an EMR with ophthalmology workflows, pharmacy and optical counters with inventory and billing, surgery workflow and a patient app. We are an early-stage company with a first group of clinics in Chennai as customers.

The role

You will turn the records clinics keep on 92health into figures, forecasts and checks that clinics and our team rely on: the reports a clinic owner reads each month, stock forecasts for pharmacy and optical counters, and the tests that measure whether our AI features give correct answers. You will work with the founders.

Responsibilities

• Define how clinic figures are counted (visits, revenue, collections, stock) and check that every report agrees with the records behind it.
• Build forecasts for pharmacy and optical stock and for clinic demand, and measure them against what happened.
• Build test sets for AI features: questions with known answers, and a score that shows when a change makes the answers worse.
• Find and fix data quality problems in records that clinics import from paper registers and older software.
• Explain findings to the founders and to clinic owners in plain language, with the numbers behind them.

Requirements

• Enthusiastic about working at an early-stage startup: a small team, priorities that change from week to week, and work that goes beyond the job title.
• 2 to 5 years in data science or analytics, including work that someone used to make a decision.
• Strong SQL, and one general-purpose programming language for analysis and modelling.
• Statistics: sampling, hypothesis tests, regression, and telling a real difference from noise.
• Experience building and evaluating forecasting or classification models.
• Able to communicate clearly with the team and with clinic owners.
• Willing to work from our Guindy office in Chennai when needed.

Nice to have

• Healthcare, pharmacy or retail data.
• Experience evaluating the output of large language models.

Compensation

Fixed monthly pay based on experience, with no variable component. Hours follow the work rather than a conventional office week; you can work from home, and from our Guindy office in Chennai as needed.
