Job summary

Tech Mahindra seeks a DataPower Developer to design, secure, and support high-performance integration solutions. You will configure DataPower services, secure REST/SOAP APIs, and integrate middleware in enterprise environments.

Role focuses on gateway services, API Connect integration, and CI/CD with Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift. Strong scripting (GatewayScript, XSLT) and knowledge of security protocols are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on DataPower experience.
• Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML.
• Experience securing APIs and gateways.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy multi-protocol gateway services on DataPower.
• Integrate DataPower as runtime gateway for API Connect or standalone microservices architecture.
• Enforce enterprise security policies including OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect, SSL/TLS, and mTLS.
• Troubleshoot latency and connectivity issues using DataPower Probe, CLI debugger, and DPOD.
• Support automated deployments and containerized deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Work with DataPower appliances or container editions for core processing and integration.

Location: - Hyderabad, Chennai

Experience:- 4+ years

We are looking for an experienced DataPower and API professional to design, build, secure, and support high-performance integration and microservices solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in configuring DataPower services, securing REST/SOAP APIs, and integrating middleware components in enterprise-grade environments

• Design & Development: Build, configure, and deploy multi-protocol gateway services (XML Firewall, Multi-Protocol Gateway, Web Service Proxy) on DataPower
• API Management: Integrate DataPower seamlessly as the runtime gateway for API Connect or standalone microservices architecture
• Security Implementation: Enforce robust enterprise security policies, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect, SSL/TLS, mutual authentication (mTLS), XML/JSON threat protection, and WS-Security
• Troubleshooting & Monitoring: Perform advanced debugging using the DataPower Probe, CLI debugger, system logs, and the DataPower Operations Dashboard (DPOD) to resolve latency and connectivity issues
• CI/CD & DevOps: Support automated deployments, GitOps configuration management, and containerized deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, or Red Hat OpenShift
• Core Experience: Strong hands-on experience working with DataPower physical/virtual appliances or container editions.
• Protocols & Formats: Deep understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, REST, JSON, SOAP, XML, MQ, and TCP/IP.
• Scripting/Coding: Proficiency in GatewayScript and XSLT.
• Ecosystem Knowledge: Familiarity with API Connect, ACE (App Connect Enterprise), or MQ is a strong plus.
• Containerization: Basic-to-intermediate knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud deployments
