Job summary

DataXWorks is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support compliance-ready data workflows, metadata management, lineage documentation, data quality standards, and audit-ready AI data operations. The ideal candidate will understand data governance practices and be able to support structured, controlled, and traceable data workflows for enterprise clients.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement governance controls, monitor data quality, and ensure regulatory alignment

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data governance, data quality, or metadata management.
• Experience with audit workflows and regulated data is preferred.
• Strong documentation and coordination with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support data governance workflows across AI, analytics, and enterprise data projects.
• Maintain documentation for data lineage, metadata, data ownership, access controls, and quality rules.
• Assist in defining data standards, validation rules, and governance checklists.
• Track data quality issues, policy exceptions, and remediation actions.
• Work with project, data operations, and compliance teams to support audit-ready documentation.
• Support governance requirements for regulated or sensitive datasets.
• Help align datasets with GDPR, HIPAA, and enterprise data handling requirements where applicable.

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Support data governance workflows across AI, analytics, and enterprise data projects.
• Maintain documentation for data lineage, metadata, data ownership, access controls, and quality rules.
• Assist in defining data standards, validation rules, and governance checklists.
• Track data quality issues, policy exceptions, and remediation actions.
• Work with project, data operations, and compliance teams to support audit‑ready documentation.
• Support governance requirements for regulated or sensitive datasets.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, metadata management, compliance operations, or data management.
• Understanding of data lineage, metadata, access controls, data standards, and audit workflows.
• Experience working with enterprise datasets or regulated data environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Collibra, Microsoft Purview, Alation, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Strong documentation and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Good analytical thinking and attention to detail.
