Job summary

GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a data engineering professional in India to design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and SQL queries while integrating data from multiple sources into data lakes or Snowflake. You will work with Spark (Scala, PySpark), AWS, and data lake tooling like MinIO and Iceberg.

You will collaborate with data engineers to build scalable pipelines, deploy and manage data lake integrations on OpenShift or AWS Kubernetes, and partner with DevOps on CI/CD

Qualifications

• Strong experience in PostgreSQL schemas and query tuning.
• Familiarity with data engineering tools Spark, Scala, PySpark, AWS.
• Nice to have MinIO and Apache Iceberg in data lake/lakehouse setups.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Stash).

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize SQL / PostgreSQL schemas, queries, indexes, and stored procedures.
• Integrate datasets from multiple sources (Postgres, NoSQL, object storage, data lakes).
• Collaborate with data engineers to design pipelines feeding into Snowflake or any data lake house.
• Work with data engineering tools (Spark with Scala, PySpark or any other programming language, Kafka, Flink, MinIO, Iceberg).
• Good to have deployment and managing pipelines and Data lake integrations on OpenShift / AWS Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Stash).
