Job summary

MiQ in Bengaluru is hiring a Data Engineer II to design, develop and maintain integrated data workflows across enterprise apps. You will build scalable data pipelines across Workday, Salesforce and a central BI warehouse, and manage monthly billing data processing regionally.

The role requires 2–3 years in data engineering, cloud data pipelines, PySpark and SQL, plus familiarity with ERP suites like Workday and SAP. A strong data modelling background is essential.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in data engineering and data integration.
  • Experience building data pipelines on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
  • Hands-on with Databricks, PySpark and SQL in data workflows.
  • Familiar with Workday, SAP and Salesforce ERP systems.
  • Strong data modelling and data transformation skills with high data quality.
  • Knowledge of release and incident management and SDLC via Bitbucket/GitHub and JIRA.
  • Understanding of infrastructure components for data pipelines and performance.

As a Data Engineer II, you’ll have the chance to drive the design, development and maintenance of integrated data workflows across our enterprise applications. The proposed data engineer role would aim to achieve data integration by building automated, scalable and robust data pipelines across our enterprise systems such as Workday, Salesforce, Internal MiQ platforms & centralised BI data warehouse. The role also involves monthly BAU processing of billing data across all MiQ commercial regions through automated data engineering workflows. The data engineer would act as a Tech SME around data engineering, data integration and data management by applying leading design standards and implementation methodologies to build and manage end‑to‑end data pipelines. The proposed role also provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with SMEs across data value chain domains such as Data Management, Data Architecture, Cloud Infra experts, Data Quality, Analytics etc. for individual learning and growth.

Who are your stakeholders?

Key stakeholders include the Central & Regional Finance team, ERP team, Account Management, Trading, Billing operations, external contractors, IT along with tech SMEs across Platform, IT, Data management, Data Science & Analytics teams

What you’ll bring
  • 2-3 years of experience in data engineering and data integration domain with in-depth exposure to building & managing data pipelines on cloud platforms (AWS,Azure or GCP)
  • Extensive hands‑on experience around Notebook Pyspark coding (Preferably on Databricks) & advanced SQL to build & optimise extensive data pipelines
  • Strong software development skills using Hadoop technologies such as Hive, Spark etc.
  • Working knowledge & good exposure to finance ERP suites & SaaS enterprise applications, such as Workday, SAP, Salesforce
  • In-depth understanding of data modelling & data transformation techniques while maintaining a high level of data quality & integrity
  • Well‑versed with release management, incident management and SDLC methodologies through Bitbucket/GitHub and JIRA
  • Good understanding of infrastructure components such as clusters, nodes, compute, and storage needed for managing data pipelines and optimising their performance
  • Excellent problem‑solving & analytical skills with the ability to anticipate roadblocks, diagnose problems and generate effective solutions
  • Outstanding stakeholder management & communication skills
  • Worked with a wide variety of business & technical stakeholders on strategic data projects

What impact will you create?

You will be a key driver in achieving end‑to‑end data integration by building automated, scalable and robust data pipelines across critical business systems to targeted Finance data repositories. You will manage the Finance integrations and data pipelines, learn new tools and SaaS systems, and manage end‑to‑end data flows. This role will play a critical part in enabling automated data ingestion & processing for the finance function in MiQ, and your work will be showcased at the highest levels within MiQ. Your work will also enable business leaders across various enterprise functions to derive relevant finance and data insights for accurate reporting, and effective & timely decision‑making.
