Job summary

Interpath is expanding its technology capabilities and seeking a Data Engineer - Assistant Manager to join our growing team and own hands-on development of the Azure data platform, including Data Warehouse, ETL, Databricks, and Synapse.

You will collaborate with Applications, Finance, Data Governance & Quality and IT to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions, maintain data quality, security, and governance, and drive performance improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks notebooks.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse pipelines.
• Strong SQL, including views and stored procedures.
• Experience using APIs to integrate data between cloud systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance our Azure Data Warehouse.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes, data mappings and transformations.
• Build and support data solutions using Databricks and Azure Synapse.
• Work with data from different systems, including integrations through APIs.
• Ensure data is accurate, reliable, secure and appropriately governed.
• Optimise data solutions for performance and scalability.
• Follow software engineering and development best practices.
• Work closely with Applications, Finance, Data Governance & Quality and IT teams.
• Develop strong understanding of business data and become a trusted point of contact for data-related requirements.

Interpath Advisory is looking for a Data Engineer - Assistant Manager to join our growing team and play a hands-on role in developing and supporting our Azure data platform.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer who enjoys working across data engineering, cloud platforms, data quality and business requirements - and who wants exposure to multiple data domains in a growing team.

Good to have:

• Experience with Azure DevOps / CI/CD pipelines
• Power BI / Business Intelligence experience
• Experience working with data quality, governance or data security
• Awareness of regulated environments, data legislation and cybersecurity requirements
• Experience within financial services or professional services
