Job summary

Wishlink is building the future of creator-led shopping from Gurugram, Haryana. We seek a data-focused software engineer with 1–2 years of experience to join our analytics stack and help evolve our data pipelines.

You will write production code with engineers, leverage SQL and Spark, and work with Databricks and the Lakehouse ecosystem to support product and business analytics. Competitive salary and ESOPs included.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of software engineering / data experience.
• Hands-on SQL (joins, group by, CTEs, window functions).
• Strong programming fundamentals in Python.
• Solid understanding of relational databases.
• Good grounding in Data Structures and Algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Write production code alongside engineers, not just observe.
• Write SQL and Spark queries to extract, transform, and validate data.
• Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines end to end.
• Learn and work with Spark/PySpark and Databricks as you grow in the Lakehouse stack.
• Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality checks.
• Support analytics and reporting for product and business teams.
• Monitor scheduled data pipelines and resolve basic issues.
• Collaborate with senior engineers through development, testing, and code reviews.
• Navigate Spark, Databricks, Delta Lake, BigQuery, Airbyte, and Power BI stacks.

What would you be doing?

• Watch Reels and YouTube videos every day & level up on your fashion sense!
• This is a hands-on, build-first role where you'll write production code alongside experienced engineers — not just observe.
• Write SQL and Spark queries to extract, transform, and validate data.
• Assist in building and maintaining reliable data pipelines end to end.
• Learn and work with Spark/PySpark and Databricks as you grow into our Lakehouse stack.
• Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality checks.
• Support analytics and reporting requirements for product and business teams.
• Monitor scheduled data pipelines and resolve basic day-to-day issues.
• Collaborate with senior engineers through development, testing, and code reviews to absorb engineering best practices.
• Navigate our current stack: Spark, Databricks, Delta Lake (Medallion architecture), BigQuery, Airbyte, and Power BI.

What are we looking for?

• If you are a content creator yourself or have worked closely in the social media space, we like you already :)
• B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of software engineering / data experience.
• Hands-on SQL (joins, group by, CTEs, window functions).
• Strong programming fundamentals in Python.
• Solid understanding of relational databases.
• Good grounding in Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Basic Spark or PySpark knowledge.
• Basic understanding of data warehousing or Databricks.
• Exposure to Git and version control.
• Basic cloud knowledge (AWS/GCP).
• Personal or academic projects involving SQL, Python, or data analytics.
