Job summary

ThoughtFocus, Bengaluru-based hybrid IT services provider, is seeking an experienced Data & Analytics/Finance technology leader with 10+ years in enterprise data warehousing and reporting. You will design data warehouses, integrate ML automation, and collaborate with portfolio teams to deliver robust data solutions.

You will implement risk and accounting systems, manage multiple large-scale projects, and ensure SDLC discipline with automated testing.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise financial technology implementations, including data warehouses, workflow and reporting development, and data integrations.
• Advanced proficiency in MS T-SQL, including stored procedures, functions, and performance optimization.
• Experience integrating complex applications via RESTful APIs and configuring portfolio management/OMS/IBOR systems.
• Proven ability to develop business-facing dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Sigma Computing.

Responsibilities

• Design and extend client data warehouses, incorporating LLMs, ML automation, and unstructured data integration.
• Implement and integrate enterprise software solutions across risk, accounting, and investment pipelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Management & Reporting

• Design and extend capabilities for the client data warehouses, incorporating Large Language Models (LLMs), machine learning automation, and unstructured data integration
• Implement and integrate enterprise software solutions, including risk, accounting, and investment pipeline systems
• Leverage APIs and web services to load and extract data from third-party platforms
• Develop data analysis and ad hoc reporting packs for front-office and middle-office stakeholders

Product Implementation & Development

• Collaborate with business users—including portfolio managers, traders, operations, analysts, and finance and compliance professionals—to gather technical requirements and deliver solutions using Python, SQL, and vendor dashboarding tools
• Serve as principal technical business analyst and developer on one or more core system implementations
• Manage multiple simultaneous large-scale projects, including SaaS implementations, workflow automation, and data warehousing initiatives
• Uphold a high standard of SDLC practices, with a focus on automated testing and regression management
• Contribute to and align with the overall vision and culture of the technology team

Operations

• Provide L2 support for provisioned applications
• Ensure the operational stability of data pipelines and reporting infrastructure
• Automate routine operational tasks using PowerShell, Power Automate, Power BI, and other tooling
• Maintain robust systems documentation

Technology

• Stay current with technical best practices and emerging tools
• Execute Major Incident and Crisis Management processes during unexpected issues
• Support additional core technology projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise financial technology implementations, including financial data warehouses, custom workflow and reporting development, and data integrations—ideally within the private credit domain
• Advanced proficiency in MS T-SQL, including stored procedures, functions, and performance/query optimization
• Experience integrating complex applications via RESTful APIs
• Experience implementing or configuring Portfolio Management, Order Management, or Investment Book of Record accounting systems
• Proven ability to develop business-facing dashboards and reports using BI technologies such as Sigma Computing, Power BI, or Tableau
• Experience configuring and deploying LLMs and AI/ML technologies preferred
• Advanced knowledge of data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse) and associated tooling preferred
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field
• Strong knowledge of buy-side financial services technologies, including trading and portfolio management systems (e.g., Allvue/Black Mountain, BlackRock Aladdin)
• Familiarity with alternative asset classes (credit, private equity) and the investment lifecycle
• Experience with market data platforms such as Bloomberg, S&P Markit, or Refinitiv
• Knowledge of Arcesium Aquata or similar data warehouse platforms preferred
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical design and deliver end-to-end, from development through user testing and adoption
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; customer-service-oriented mindset
• Availability for on-call support outside standard hours for scheduled changes, emergency incident management, and escalated requests
