Job summary

Alstom in Bengaluru is seeking a Data Catalog Analyst to help govern and promote the Data Catalog across our business. You will work with Data Owners, Data Stewards and business users to capture needs and translate them into formal requirements.

You will support testing, workshops, training materials, and onboarding documentation, ensuring metadata standards and glossary usage align with Data Governance rules. Strong communication and English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in data management, CS, IS or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of data governance and data catalog concepts.
• Collibra knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to translate business needs into structured and formalised requirements.
• Strong documentation and synthesis skills.
• Experience facilitating workshops and training sessions.
• Organized, rigorous and user-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication with business and technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

You’ll play a pivotal role in driving the adoption and operational use of Alstom’s Data Catalog, ensuring alignment with our Data Governance principles and standards. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including Data Owners, Data Stewards, and business users), support functional design and testing activities, and contribute to training and documentation initiatives.

You’ll specifically take care of structuring user needs and functional requirements, but also support change management and communication activities to foster adoption of the Data Catalog.
