Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for data and analytics programmes.
• Design architectures using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Databricks, and dbt.
• Define Lakehouse and medallion architectures (Bronze / Silver / Gold).
• Establish data modelling strategies and review technical designs for scalability, security, and cost optimization.
• Lead solutioning for proposals and RFPs; conduct architecture workshops and whiteboarding sessions.
• Support estimations and delivery approach definition.
• Mentor and guide data engineers; participate in hiring and capability building.
• Resolve escalations and provide architectural direction.
• Design governance-aligned architectures; implement security and data quality frameworks.

Job description

We are looking for a Solution Architect – Data & Analytics to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale analytics platforms on the Microsoft ecosystem. This role is balanced between delivery and pre-sales (50:50) and requires strong technical depth, architectural thinking, and people leadership skills. The ideal candidate has been hands‑on earlier in their career and now operates effectively at an architecture, client-facing, and team leadership level

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Architecture & Delivery (50%)

Own end-to-end solution architecture for data and analytics programmes.

Design architectures using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Databricks, and dbt.

Define Lakehouse and medallion architectures (Bronze / Silver / Gold).

Establish data modelling strategies and review technical designs for scalability, security, and cost optimization.

Lead solutioning for proposals and RFPs; conduct architecture workshops and whiteboarding sessions.

Support estimations and delivery approach definition.

3. Technical Leadership & People Management

Mentor and guide data engineers; participate in hiring and capability building.

Resolve escalations and provide architectural direction.

4. Governance, Security & Quality

Design governance‑aligned architectures.

Implement security using Azure RBAC, Purview, Unity Catalog, and Fabric security.

Define data quality frameworks and MDM patterns.

Required Skills & Qualifications

7+ years in data & analytics engineering or architecture.

Databricks & Delta Lake; dbt working knowledge.

Proficiency in SQL & Python.

Client-facing experience with strong communication skills

Industry Experience

Mandatory: Experience in Healthcare, Manufacturing, or Finance.
