Job summary

Albemarle Corporation is seeking a Data Architect to lead the design, implementation and support of enterprise data and analytics solutions. You will develop scalable Azure-based data platforms, integrate enterprise applications, enable business reporting, and drive data modernization initiatives.

The role requires senior expertise in Azure data technologies, data integration, governance, and collaboration with HR, Finance, Compliance, Operations, and Commercial teams.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Architecture, Platform Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with Azure cloud data technologies.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale integration projects.
• Strong experience working with HR, Finance, Compliance, Operations, and Commercial teams.
• Experience managing solution lifecycle from requirements gathering through production support.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience leading technical discussions with architects, engineers, and business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise data platforms using Azure technologies.
• Develop and optimize Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, Databricks workloads, and cloud data integrations.
• Establish scalable data models and integration patterns.

Job Description

The Data Architect will lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise data and analytics solutions across functions. This role is responsible for developing scalable Azure-based data platforms, integrating enterprise applications, enabling business reporting, and driving data modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise data platforms using Azure technologies.
• Develop and optimize Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, Databricks workloads, and cloud data integrations.
• Establish scalable data models and integration patterns.
• Drive data quality, governance, security, and operational excellence.
• Lead architecture reviews and technical solution design activities.

• Azure Ecosystem: Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL
• Data Engineering: SQL, Python, ETL development, Data Warehousing
• Preferred: Experience with Enterprise Applications such as SAP, Salesforce, Workday, Adaptive Planning
