Job summary

M&G India is seeking a data analytics professional to drive advanced analytics initiatives using Python, Azure, and Power BI. You will ensure high-quality outputs, lead projects with minimal supervision, and coordinate a small team of analysts across global teams.

The role requires 5–7 years in data management and a strong foundation in data modelling, automation, and translating business needs into technical specs. A Microsoft Azure certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Post-graduate in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Data Science, Engineering or related field.
• Microsoft Azure certification is preferred.
• Overall 5–7 years of experience in data management and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Own advanced analytics tasks using Python, Azure, SQL and visualization tools.
• QA and governance of analytics outputs; ensure high-quality standards.
• Lead projects with minimal supervision and coordinate 1–2 Analysts.
• Translate business requirements into functional/technical specifications.
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams to deliver data solutions.
• Mentor new Analytics team members and train on SQL/Azure/Python/Power BI.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Advanced knowledge of Analytica and visualization tool used (SQL /Azure /Python and other visualization tools such as Power BI)
• Holds analytics teammates to high-quality standards with QA support and feedback to ensure ways of working are adhered to
• Can create an effective story with data, maintaining objectivity in their analysis
• Can lead a project development from with little support
• Taking the lead and coordinate more complex deliverables
• Supports training of new Analytics team members in SQL / Azure / Python and Power BI
• Leads functional team training on how to interpret and explore data
• Proactively looks for ways to share their knowledge
• Ability to communicate analysis and clearly articulate business value to a wide range of more senior stakeholders
• Can support a lead in executing on a cross-functional plan
• Manages 1 to 2 Analysts
• Effectively manages workstreams for self and analysts
• Regularly conducts 1-1 session helping the team grow
• Assists in the execution of projects to improve the team’s analytics capabilities
• Proactively identifies how to improve Analytics team operations and increase productivity (tools, processes, etc)

General Responsibilities

Develop Data skills within the team through knowledge sharing sessions, articles, etc. Adherence to organizations Risk & Controls requirements Participate in various initiatives/forums/groups and contribute effectively from idea creation to prototype development. Support Strategic programs

Qualification

Graduate/Post-graduate. Preferably with specialization in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering or related discipline Microsoft Azure certification Experience Overall 5-7 years of experience in data management

Competence / Knowledge / Skills (Mandatory)

• 2+ years of in-depth technical knowledge/expertise in the following Python, Azure services; Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Data Warehouse/DB, Azure Data Factory, Blob Storage Experience of at least 2 to 3 projects Python knowledge and experience for automation Experience on Data Modelling Ability to translate the business requirements to Functional/technical Specs Experience of working with globally distributed teams

Competence / Knowledge / Skills (Desired)

• Experience of working with Power Tools Knowledge and exposure of CRM infrastructure would also be of additional help
