Job summary

M&G India is looking for a lead data engineer to guide a team of engineers in building and optimizing data pipelines. You will design, implement and tune data ingestion and transformation using ADF and Databricks, while collaborating with offshore teams across the project lifecycle.

The role emphasizes strong architectural guidance, capability development within the team, and adherence to risk and control standards as part of a global financial services group.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data engineers providing technical guidance and ensuring alignment with architectural principles.
• Design and implement data engineering, ingestion and transformation functions using ADF, Databricks.
• Capacity planning and performance tuning on ADF & Databricks pipelines.
• Work with offshore office-based development teams, collaborating within a team environment and participating in typical project lifecycle activities.
• Develop Azure Data skills within the team through knowledge sharing sessions and articles; adherence to organizational Risk & Controls requirements.
