Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data and BI solutions.
• Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory for orchestrating data workflows.
• Proficient in Snowflake Data Warehouse including data modelling, performance tuning, and SQL.
• Experience designing data models for Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Modern Data Platforms.
• Power BI expertise: Power Query, DAX, star-schema modelling, semantic models, dashboards, and performance optimization.
• Experience integrating data from CRM (Salesforce), SAP, FTP servers, and APIs.
• Understanding of data quality, governance, and ETL/ELT best practices; ability to implement AI-assisted analytics securely.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data & Analytics Developer with 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data and business intelligence solutions. The role is predominantly focused on Azure Data Factory (ADF), Snowflake, and Power BI, covering the end-to-end analytics lifecycle from source-system integration and cloud data engineering through semantic modelling, dashboard development, and production support. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data architects, developers, and IT leadership to deliver reliable and efficient data solutions that support strategic decision-making. You will play a key role in defining best practices for data engineering, implementing security and performance standards, and ensuring that data systems meet both technical and business requirements in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What we are looking for

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as a Senior Cloud Data Platform Developer, working with large-scale data integration and warehousing solutions.
• Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) for orchestrating and automating data workflows.
• Proficient in Snowflake Data Warehouse, including data modelling, performance tuning, and advanced SQL.
• Experience designing data models for Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Modern Data Platforms.
• Hands-on Power BI expertise, including Power Query, DAX, star-schema modelling, semantic models, interactive reports, dashboards, drill-through, bookmarks, and performance optimization.
• Experience integrating data from multiple sources, including: CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce/SFDC), SAP, FTP servers, APIs (REST/SOAP).
• Solid understanding of data quality, data governance, and best practices in ETL/ELT processes.
• Ability to integrate AI-driven solutions securely, ensuring data governance and compliance.
• Demonstrates strong analytical skills and flexibility in handling evolving technologies and complex challenges.
• Clear communicator with collaborative leadership style, fostering teamwork and mentoring peers.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

What you will be doing

• Design, develop, and optimize data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Azure Data Factory.

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all data pipelines.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality datasets for analytics and reporting.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for data workflows, integrations, and architecture.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Optimize ADF pipeline execution, Snowflake compute and query performance, and Power BI model size, refresh time, and report responsiveness.
• Collaborate with Data Architects to understand business requirements and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and business leaders to align Data strategy with organizational objectives.
• Lead the Data Platform setup, including multi-environment configuration (Dev/Test/Prod), security, backups, and performance tuning.
• Provide architectural guidance and mentoring to development teams and consultants.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of SAP business data domains and integration patterns.
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Key Vault, and cloud monitoring services.
• Experience applying AI-assisted analytics or natural-language BI capabilities within enterprise security and governance standards.
