Qualifications

• Degree in statistics, mathematics, CS, economics, business analytics, data science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 6+ years in data analytics/BI with leadership experience.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (Tableau/Power BI/Looker).
• Understanding of data warehousing and large-scale datasets.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to guide non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to mentor analysts and manage multiple projects.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Data Analysis Team Lead to join our growing analytics team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for transforming complex data into actionable business insights. This role involves working with large-scale datasets, developing impactful dashboards and reports, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and mentoring a team of analysts to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Data Extraction, Processing & Analysis

• Write, execute, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL processes.
• Extract, clean, transform, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, and flat files.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity by identifying and resolving data quality issues.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.
• Develop and maintain scalable data models and analytical frameworks.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms.
• Present complex data in a clear, concise, and visually compelling manner for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Automate recurring reports and dashboards to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Monitor key business metrics and provide regular performance insights.

Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management

• Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations that support strategic business decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments including Product, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Business Leadership.
• Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.
• Prepare and deliver insightful presentations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for data analysis and business intelligence initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of data analysts by providing technical guidance and professional development opportunities.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to data analytics best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement in analytical methodologies, reporting processes, and data governance standards.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.
• Stay informed about emerging trends, tools, and technologies in analytics, business intelligence, and data science.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field, including experience in a senior or leadership role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and large-scale datasets.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to lead teams, mentor analysts, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in Google or PLX environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies and modern analytics ecosystems.
• Knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance best practices.
• Exposure to Python, R, or other analytical programming languages is an added advantage.
