Job summary

EXL is seeking a Data Analyst to support data-driven marketing analytics in the BFSI domain. The role emphasizes SAS, SQL, Python, and Tableau to develop dashboards and scalable data processes for multiple clients.

Responsibilities include designing data-driven strategies, building audiences, conducting SAS analyses, and presenting insights to non-technical stakeholders. Evening shifts and relocation to Gurugram or Ahmedabad may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/DS/Statistics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of analytics experience, preferably in marketing or BFSI.
• Proficient in SAS, SQL, and/or Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• At least 1 year building dashboards with Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong analytical thinking, data storytelling, and communication skills.
• Experience in banking/financial services is a plus; SAS/Tableau certifications are helpful.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Campaign Strategy & Audience Development

• Design data-driven marketing strategies for banking products based on historical campaign performance.
• Develop AI/ML models to optimize campaign ROI and customer targeting.
• Build and validate campaign audiences aligned with approved strategies.
• Enhance and maintain Tableau dashboards with a focus on usability and visual storytelling for non-technical stakeholders.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis using SAS to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Perform segmentation using decision trees and clustering techniques.
• Execute statistical A/B testing to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
• Translate client requirements into technical specifications and deliver data-backed solutions.
• Prepare and present findings through impactful PowerPoint presentations and ad hoc reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in analytics, preferably in marketing or BFSI.
• Proficient in SAS, SQL, and/or Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• At least 1 year of experience in building dashboards using Tableau or Power BI.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and data storytelling skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in the banking or financial services sector is a strong plus.
• Certifications in SAS or Tableau are advantageous.

Additional Requirements

• Must be available to work evening shifts to support global clients.
• Work from office: Candidates must be willing to relocate to Gurugram or Ahmedabad.
