Job summary

DBS Bank Ltd. is seeking a data analytics professional to identify growth opportunities and deliver insight-driven recommendations for digital banking products and customer journeys. You will partner with product, tech, and regional teams to define metrics and optimize performance through dashboards and experiments.

The role requires 3–7 years in data science/analytics, strong programming skills (Python/R/PySpark), and hands-on experience with big data tools. Mumbai region based, full-time.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of data science/analytics experience in consumer banking, ecommerce, or telecoms.
• Understanding of DS/ML/AI applications to business problems.
• Proficiency with analytics databases and big data tools.
• Strong communication of complex analyses across teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in a quantitative field with analytics experience.

Responsibilities

• Structure, define and execute data analyses to uncover insights for digital banking.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Structure, define and execute data analysis to uncover insights and inform decision making for digital bank
• Engage with business and product teams on the problem formulation and create solution framework
• Collaborate with regional & local counterparts to define and align performance metrics
• Support ad-hoc data requests for management meetings
• Formulate requirements and work with data engineering and technology team to develop and validate automated data pipelines for business performance dashboards
• Design A/B test experiments to test the model effectiveness and Analyze to identify the target segments
• Drive the testing and deployment of the machine learning products into production
• Understand the Product Journeys and help business to improve the customer experience

Requirements

Non-technical Experience

• Should have full understanding of at least one Banking Product
• Strong academic background
• Should be self -motivated, adaptable, focused & well organized
• Should possess a creative bent of mind and should be a strategic thinker

Technical Experience

• 3-7 years of experience in Data Science/Analytics (Consumer Banking, Ecommerce, Retail, Telecoms) with demonstrated track of generating value through data driven solutions
• Should have full understanding of applications of DS/ML/AI solutions to various business problems
• Proficiency in using databases like Teradata, NoSQL and Hadoop using SQL, Hive, PySpark, etc.
• Programming experience in Python, R, PySpark, TensorFlow or other machine learning oriented programming languages/platforms
• Good understanding of technology tools especially those related to analytics, data & modelling
• Ability to communicate complex analysis/models across a diverse team
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Education / Preferred Experience

• B.Sc./ M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Statistics, Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Operation Research, or equivalent quantitative fields preferred.
• Prior Working experience of Analytics is must
