Job summary

Speed Global in Pune, Maharashtra is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 4–10 years of experience to support engineering releases for engine components. You will engage in design reviews, create and check 2D drawings, and apply GD&T and DFMA principles to ensure manufacturability.

Responsibilities include 3D CAD modeling of major casting components, plumbing, sheet metal brackets, and engine peripherals using Creo, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to verify BOMs and support

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of mechanical design experience for engine components.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and DFMA.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle and component design.

Responsibilities

• Supports development of processes such as Design Review, Virtual Review, and tools like DFMEA, DVP&R, DFM, DFA, and tolerance stack-up.
• Conducts cross-functional reviews for components and seeks guidance from experts and program team members.
• 3D CAD modelling for major casting components and engine peripherals (plumbing, fuel piping, sheet metal brackets).
• Creates and checks 2D drawings and applies GD&T.
• Designs for manufacturing/service/assembly and develops engineering releases per design phase.
• Supports engine builds with proposed BOM and verifies BOM during builds.
• Assists part movement during engine builds, validation and testing.
• Capable of handling ETLA and Product tailoring components/system TLA.
