Job summary

General Mills is seeking an experienced Planning Systems Specialist to coordinate, test, and deploy enhancements for the OMP planning environment within SAP ECC and related tools. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, optimize performance, and support daily operations.

Candidates should have 5+ years in supply chain planning systems, familiarity with OMP modules (OPR, S&OP, IO & FCT), and experience with integration technologies like SAP PI/PO, CPI, and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with System Maintenance Consultant, Centre of Excellence, OMP team and SAP Development to resolve planning issues within SLA.
• Lead development, testing and cutover for planning enhancements and projects.
• Manage complex system configurations to meet evolving business needs and ensure optimal performance.
• Lead OMP deployment activities for Plan Product team, including testing requirements and progress monitoring.
• Provide day-to-day Run activities support and extended hour production support as per rotation.

Because becoming the undisputed leader in food means surrounding ourselves with people who are hungry for what’s next.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES• Coordinate with System Maintenance Consultant, Centre of Excellence, OMP team, Data engineers and SAP Development teams to resolve the planning related issues withing the SLA target timelines.• Lead development, testing and cutover of any future enhancements and projects related to Planning.• Manage complex system configurations to meet evolving business needs and ensure optimal performance.• Lead OMP PAK deployment activities, including defining testing requirements, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion for the Plan Product team.• Proactively work to improve overall environment stability and ease of support.• Develop close partnership with business users to gain a deep understanding of needs and align priorities.• Rotational off-hour support.• Support day-to-day Run activities.• Provide extended hour production support based on the monthly rotation.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Full Time graduation from an accredited university.Experience: 5+ years of overall experience and 3+ years of related experience in Supply chain Planning system.Technical Skills:Experience with OMP planning system in any module.Good understanding of master data and transactional data required for SAP ECC and Planning Tools (APO/OMP etc.)Soft Skills:Strong communication, Presentation and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders, (understanding their needs and translating them into technical solutions) IT teams and external vendors.Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS2+ Years in OMP with experience in any of the OMP - OPR, S&OP, IO & FCT modules.Good understanding of integration technologies (e.g., SAP PI/PO, CPI, APIs, third-party systems) and managing data flows between systems.Understanding of full Planning processes - from forecast creation to finite scheduling & MRP.Track record as a strong team player with effective teamwork and communication skills.An analytical, methodical, logical approach to problem solving, employing innovative approaches to business and technical challenges.Willingness to continue learning to expand and build on skill sets.ELIGIBILITYApplicants must meet minimum age qualifications in the country in which the job is located.
