Job summary

Cloudxtreme in Chennai is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with Cypress expertise to design and maintain robust end-to-end automated test frameworks for web apps. You will work with JavaScript/TypeScript or Python, build tests for UI and API, and integrate with CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Ideal candidates have 4–10 years IT experience, with at least 3 years in Cypress, and a strong background in Agile/Scrum

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 4–10 years IT experience with minimum 3+ years in Cypress.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated test scripts using Cypress.
• Implement test cases for UI, API, and regression testing.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to identify test scenarios and ensure full coverage.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Debug, troubleshoot, and maintain existing automation frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices in test automation.
• Prepare detailed test reports and track defects to closure.

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Cypress and programming knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python to design, develop, and maintain robust end-to-end automated test frameworks for web applications.

Required Skills:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong hands‑on experience in Cypress test automation.
• Overall 4-10 years of experience in IT and minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in Cypress is must.
• Proficiency in one of the following languages – Java / Javascript / Typescript / Python.
• Experience with REST API automation using Cypress or other tools is good to have.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop automated test scripts using Cypress.
