Job summary

Atomic North India is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our on-site team in Jammu (J&K). You will own real-time alert triage and incident investigations with hands-on work across CrowdStrike Falcon, Sentinel One, and Adlumin SIEM, while mentoring L1 analysts and improving detection engineering.

The role requires 6+ years of L2 SOC experience, strong incident response, threat hunting, and a security-first mindset.

Qualifications

6–10 years of L2 SOC/cybersecurity operations experience.
Hands-on expertise with CrowdStrike Falcon, Sentinel One, and Adlumin SIEM.
Strong incident response, threat hunting, detection engineering, and team mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

Lead critical incidents and own the lifecycle from detection to resolution.
Drive security improvements through threat hunting and detection engineering.
Own security tooling and platforms (CrowdStrike, Sentinel One, Adlumin, SIEM).
Develop and improve playbooks, SOPs, and automation to boost SOC efficiency.
Mentor L1 analysts and raise detection quality and response maturity.
Support audit/compliance activities as needed.

Job description

There is an immediate need for an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer at Atomic North India. if you are someone with 6-10 years of L2 SOC/cybersecurity operations experience, hands-on expertise in CrowdStrike Falcon, Sentinel One, and SIEM platforms such as Adlumin, along with strong incident response, threat hunting, detection engineering, and team mentoring experience then this position is for you.

LOCATIONS

This is an on-site role and is open to candidates who are currently based in or willing to relocate to Billawar -Jammu (J&K).

ABOUT THE ROLE

The L2 Cybersecurity Engineer acts as a dedicated on-site security resource, owning realtime alert triage, incident investigation, escalation handling, and detection improvement across client environments. This is a hands-on, ownership-driven role requiring minimal supervision.

YOU ARE

You are a senior cybersecurity professional with deep SOC expertise and strong hands-on experience in leading complex security operations.
You are capable of independently managing high-severity security incidents, including P1/P2 incidents, from initial triage and investigation to containment, resolution, root cause analysis, and stakeholder communication.
You have strong practical experience in SIEM, EDR, incident response, threat detection, alert tuning, and detection engineering.
You are skilled in identifying root causes, deriving actionable insights, and recommending preventive measures to reduce recurrence and improve security posture.
You can design and improve response playbooks, automation workflows, and SOC processes to enhance operational efficiency at scale.
You are technically strong, proactive, and able to mentor L1 analysts while driving continuous improvement in detection quality, response maturity, and overall, SOC effectiveness.
