Job summary

A leading engineering solutions provider in Bengaluru is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer. The successful candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in instrumentation engineering related to turbomachinery. You will prepare documentation, select instrumentation per specifications, and review technical documents. A degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering and knowledge of COMOS are required.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years’ experience in turbomachinery – instrumentation engineering.
• Knowledge in creating and reviewing instrumentation deliverables.
• Good knowledge of client / consultant specifications, codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instrumentation documents like P&ID, Instrument List & Specifications.
• Select instrumentation as per applicable customer specifications.
• Review supplier documents and give technical clearance to procurement team.

Skills

Instrumentation Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Understand input documents required to prepare I&C deliverables in Plant Engineering software like COMOS
• Select all instrumentation arrangement as per customer order requirement of turbomachinery systems
• Select instrumentation as per applicable customer specifications, area class as well as applicable international regulations in plant design, such as ANSI, IEC, IS, API & European standards
• Prepare instrumentation documents like P&ID, Instrument List & Specifications, I/O list, Alarm & Trip, Signal List, Hook‑up Drawings, Installation Material Lists for Field Instrumentation, Cable tray drawings, with supporting structures etc.
• Prepare output documents like JB & Cable Schedule, Interconnection Wiring Schedules, Loop Diagrams, Control Logic Diagram, JB & Instrument Rack Layouts and Field Junction Box Layout Drawings etc.
• Review supplier documents and give technical clearance to procurement team

Qualifications

• 3‑4 years’ experience in turbomachinery – instrumentation engineering
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering (or equivalent)
• Knowledge & experience in COMOS is mandatory
• Basic experience in turbomachinery components such as compressor, steam turbines, electrical motors / generators, lube oil system, seal gas system, condensing system, machine‑monitoring system & other control systems
• Knowledge on sizing and selection of field instruments
• Knowledge in creating and reviewing instrumentation deliverables
• Basic knowledge of PLC/DCS & control panel design
• Good knowledge of client / consultant specifications, codes and standards
• Exposure in working in ERP software

Cyber Security Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and document secure network architectures and cybersecurity solutions based on customer requirements.
• Configure firewalls and other network components within OT control systems.
• Support internal and external teams on cybersecurity and network‑related matters.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and troubleshoot cybersecurity/network issues.
• Provide first‑level support and share technical knowledge across the team.
• Collaborate closely with the Oberhausen HQ for project alignment and execution.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers for document clarity and technical coordination.
• Manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining team collaboration.
• Stay updated with industry trends and continuously enhance skills.
• Comply with company code of conduct, processes, and Health & Safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Automation Technology.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automation and plant engineering.
• Strong knowledge of IEC 62443 standards and cybersecurity risk assessments for control systems.
• Hands‑on experience with OT network configurations (firewalls, VLANs, ring topologies).
• Familiarity with Siemens PCS7, Allen Bradley systems, and network devices such as Hirschmann, Siemens, Fortinet, and Phoenix Contact.
• Certifications in cybersecurity or network engineering are an advantage.
