Job summary

Sutherland in Hyderabad is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst with 3–7 years of experience to manage email security operations in a 24x7 SOC environment. The role emphasizes Splunk-based monitoring, Proofpoint tooling, and strong email authentication knowledge (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).

You will work across stakeholders and vendors to uphold SLAs and drive proactive risk mitigation. Immediate to 15 days NP; work from office in Hyderabad with 24/7 and rotation shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in Email Security/Operations, Proofpoint, Splunk, Trust & Safety / SOC environments.
• Email Security: Analyzing phishing emails, identifying, preventing, and knowledge of different types of email attacks.
• Splunk: Writing SPL queries, log search and analysis, tuning detection rules, and monitoring
• Expertise in managing email operations, spam/abuse mitigation.
• Ensuring operational excellence in a 24x7 environment.
• Strong understanding of SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and email infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with Splunk
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Expertise in managing email operations, Splunk, SIEM,EDR, spam/abuse mitigation, and Trust & Safety workflows, ensuring operational excellence in a 24x7 environment.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring SLA, productivity, and quality targets are consistently met
• Monitor trends in spam, phishing, spoofing, and abuse; drive proactive mitigation strategies
• Conduct incident reviews, root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective/preventive actions
• Leverage Splunk to build dashboards, track KPIs, and generate actionable insights
• Ensure adherence to email authentication standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and security protocols
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and multi-vendor partners for seamless operations
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and automation opportunities
