Job summary

Stefanini, Inc. invites an IT Security Analyst to join our Hyderabad-based team. You will monitor SIEM dashboards, investigate incidents, and coordinate with IT and engineering to strengthen security controls in client environments.

You will perform vulnerability assessments, support security tool deployment (firewalls, EDR, IDS/IPS), and help document procedures and KPIs. The role requires 2–5 years in information security and a bachelor's in cyber security or related field.

• Incident Management:
  • Incident investigation and diagnosis: analyzing cause, selecting solution/escalation.
  • Routing incidents to correct groups: detailed review, logging analysis, routing, communication, follow‑up.
  • Tracking resolution and providing updates to users or representatives.
  • Supporting management process, proposing new processes, and developing solutions to improve efficiency.
• Responding to requests via email and other electronic means for technical support.
• Continuous improvements:
  • Perform manual alert correlations per procedures and client requirements.
  • Advise on repeatable processes within the company and IT group.
  • Provide guidance in defining KPIs, deliverables, and metrics for services, processes, and technologies.
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis and recommend measures to reduce recurring incidents.
• Work in alignment with SLAs for daily operations of the monitoring team.
• Document procedures used to resolve issues for future reference.
• Assist junior colleagues with project onboarding and technical support.
• Offer technical recommendations to the client to mitigate risks and prevent threat spread.
• Proactively search for potential cyber threats in allocated systems and recommend preventive actions.

Job Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in information security or SOC.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, protocols, and security concepts.
• Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, etc.).
• Knowledge of threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux) and security monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, attack techniques, and security best practices.

Preferred / Good‑to‑Have

• Security certifications such as CEH, Security+ or equivalent.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of scripting for automation (Python, PowerShell).
• Understanding of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST).
• Experience working in SOC or Blue Team environments.
