Job summary

Simplifying Skills in India is seeking a seasoned content developer with 5–7 years of experience to create high-quality educational materials for schools and universities across subjects, grades, and learning levels.

You will structure lesson plans, teacher guides, worksheets, and assessments, translate curriculum standards into engaging learning experiences, and work with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and alignment with NEP 2020 and NCF.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in content development
• Must design competency-based learning content and assessments
• Experience creating teacher manuals and facilitator guides
• Proficiency in researching credible sources for educational content
• Ability to translate curricula into structured, age-appropriate learning experiences

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality educational content for schools and universities across subjects, grades, and learning levels
• Create and structure lesson plans, student workbooks, teacher manuals, worksheets, activities, assessments, projects, and facilitator resources
• Translate curriculum requirements and learning objectives into engaging learning experiences
• Conduct thorough research and ensure factual accuracy and credibility of sources
• Develop questions, rubrics, and activities aligned with learning outcomes and competency-based learning
• Review and edit content for accuracy, logic, language, pedagogy, and age appropriateness
• Map content to curriculum, syllabus, competencies, and prescribed learning outcomes
• Work with subject-matter experts, instructional designers, trainers, and project teams to refine content
• Incorporate feedback from internal reviews, educators, experts, and pilot users
• Maintain content trackers, documentation, version control, and project timelines
• Manage multiple content projects while maintaining quality and delivery timelines
• Support content aligned with NEP 2020, NCF, experiential and competency-based education
• Contribute ideas to improve existing content, activities, assessments, and learning experiences
• Ensure final content is ready for classroom/academic use with minimal corrections
