Job summary

Vutto is seeking a Culture & People Operations Partner to own the employee experience, people operations backbone, and culture initiatives. You will move between people, processes and problems, talking with employees in the morning, fixing HR processes in the afternoon, and driving culture efforts by evening.

You’ll translate values into everyday behaviour, build practical processes, and collaborate with managers to improve how we work as Vutto scales.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in HR, People Operations, People & Culture or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of core HR operations.
• Experience owning employee-facing HR processes end-to-end.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good judgement with employee and business situations.
• Ability to execute with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise when multiple tasks need attention.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Genuine interest in building culture.

Responsibilities

• Drive engagement, communications, celebrations, townhalls and culture initiatives.

We’re looking for a Culture & People Operations Partner to take ownership of both.

This is a role for someone who can move between people, processes and problems with ease. Someone who can have a conversation with an employee in the morning, fix a broken HR process in the afternoon, and drive a culture initiative by evening.

There won’t always be a perfectly defined playbook.

We’re looking for someone who can build one.

What You’ll Own

1. Employee Experience

• Own key employee touchpoints across the employee lifecycle.
• Make onboarding, internal communication, engagement and everyday HR interactions thoughtful and seamless.
• Act as a trusted point of contact for employees and help resolve issues with speed and judgement.
• Continuously identify opportunities to make the employee experience better.

2. People Operations

• Own the day-to-day HR operations backbone and ensure it runs reliably.
• Manage HR systems, employee records, attendance, leave, documentation, payroll inputs and other core processes.
• Ensure critical HR processes happen accurately and on time.
• Bring structure to processes as the organisation grows.

3. Culture & Engagement

• Help translate Vutto's values into everyday employee behaviour and experiences.
• Drive initiatives around engagement, communication, celebrations, townhalls and culture.
• Understand what employees are experiencing on the ground and bring those insights to the People team.
• Build initiatives that employees actually find useful — not activities for the sake of activities.

4. Ownership & Problem Solving

• Identify gaps before they become problems.
• Take ambiguous problems and drive them to closure.
• Work directly with managers and leaders to get things moving.
• Build processes where none exist and improve processes that no longer work.
• Take responsibility for outcomes rather than waiting for instructions.

5. People Projects

• Partner with the People team on performance management, employee engagement, HR policies, internal communication and other organisation-wide initiatives.
• Support the evolution of People practices as Vutto scales.
• Use data, employee feedback and business context to improve how we work.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who has already spent enough time in HR to operate independently, but still has the curiosity to build and experiment.

You should have:

• 3–6 years of experience in HR, People Operations, People & Culture or a similar role
• .Strong understanding of core HR operations
• .Experience owning employee-facing HR processes end-to-end
• .Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• .Good judgement when dealing with employee and business situations
• .A high bar for execution and attention to detail
• .The ability to prioritise when multiple things need attention at the same time
• .Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
• .A genuine interest in building culture, not just administering HR
