Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide expert technical support for digital control and building automation systems in Pune. The role focuses on troubleshooting complex issues, documenting activities, and escalating when required.

You will work closely with customers to resolve inquiries, ensure system performance, and maintain high levels of satisfaction, collaborating with internal teams to implement corrective actions and maintain rigorous safety and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical support or building automation systems.
• Strong understanding of BAS, HVAC controls, and control system architectures.
• Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks is preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Maintain accurate records of support cases, resolutions, and technical documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, Mechanical) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical support, building automation systems (BAS), HVAC controls, or digital control systems.
• Strong understanding of building automation, HVAC controls, and control system architectures.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks is preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
• Familiarity with field devices, sensors, controllers, and automation software.
• Ability to analyze technical data and recommend practical solutions.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Experience 3+ years of relevant experience in technical support, building automation, digital controls, or related engineering environments.
