Job summary

National Health and Education Society in Mumbai is seeking a CSSD technician to manage cleaning, decontamination, and packing of surgical instruments and medical devices.

You will operate autoclaves, perform sterilization monitoring, and ensure timely sterile supply to OT and clinical areas while maintaining inventory, traceability, and NABH-compliant documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, decontamination, inspection, assembly and packing of surgical instruments and medical devices.
• Operate steam sterilizers/autoclaves and other CSSD equipment as per SOP.
• Conduct and document sterilization monitoring and maintain proper traceability records.
• Ensure timely preparation and supply of sterile instruments and sets to OT and other clinical areas.
• Maintain sterile storage, inventory and CSSD documentation.
• Follow infection-control, safety and NABH requirements.
• Report damaged instruments, equipment issues and process deviations promptly.
• Coordinate with OT, nursing and other user departments for timely sterile supply.
