Job summary

Ruby Hall Clinic (RHC) in Pune is seeking a CSSD Technician to manage sterile services, including receiving, cleaning, sterilizing and packing surgical instruments.

The role requires a B.Sc. CSSD or Diploma in CSSD with 2–5 years of experience; you will uphold stringent protocols, maintain records, and assist with stock control.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. CSSD or Diploma in CSSD required.
• 2–5 years CSSD experience.
• Location: Pune, India.

Responsibilities

• Receiving / washing area, packing area, sterile area.
• To receive handover of packs from Scrub sister / ORA after surgery.
• Cleaning of instruments and sterilization per protocols (Steam, EO, Plasma).
• Drying of surgical instruments and checking functionality for damage.
• Preparation of surgical sets and labeling per specialty.
• Sterilization of instruments and loading/unloading of sterilizers.
• Maintaining stock records and assisting CSSD Head as needed.
• Ensuring CSSD area is clean and daily disinfected per protocols.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Receiving / washing area, packing area, sterile area
• To receive handover of packs from Scrub sister / ORA after surgery is over.
• Cleaning of instruments and if required cleaning them especially scopes and fine instruments.
• Drying of surgical instruments.
• Segregation and checking of surgical instruments functionality, damage, cracks, rust, etc.
• Regular maintenance of instruments like oiling and rust removal process.
• Preparation of surgical sets as per the checklist.
• Packing and labeling of the surgical sets as per the specialty.
• Sterilization of surgical instruments as per protocols. (Steam, EO, Plasma)
• Loading, unloading and distribution of sterile goods after checking all sterility parameters.
• (Physical, Chemical and biological.)
• Cleaning, drying and packing of EO /Plasma material and its tracking.
• (Reuse policy)
• Loading and unloading of EO sterilizers and plasma sterilizers.
• Regular monitoring of availability of pack lists.
• Helping C.S.S.D Head in maintaining records and stock taking and any other help that he may require.
• To perform a sterility check is done for each sterilizer.
• BST As per CSSD protocols.
• Bowie Dick – [Everyday] – 1st cycle.
• Operating of all equipment’s of CSSD.
• Maintaining important records / documentation.
• Ensuring proper storage in CSSD.
• Performing any other tasks as instructed by the C.S.S.D Head.
• Ensuring the C. S. S. D. area is always clean and daily disinfected as per protocols.
• Preparation of Biological indicators report of various sterilization processes under supervision of Officer.
• Taking inventories at regular intervals under supervision of Superior.
