Consulting Support Services Manager
CSS enables Consulting Project teams efficiency and delivery through the key project management and coordination activities.
We take responsibility for end‑to‑end project lifecycle essential for project delivery. We manage project financial analysis, tracking and reporting, project communication, compliance & governance activities across all Field of Play.
This role offers first‑hand experience of project management on a wide spectrum of services leading to skill enhancement and long‑term career growth in consulting. It affords an opportunity to lead and manage as well as develop talent, contributing to the success and growth of the organization.
Your key role and responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Perform project management activities to include:
- Financial management, pricing scenario modelling
- Budget v/s spend tracking, invoicing
- Work with solution architect on WBS, project planning using tools like Excel or MS Projects,
- Collection and tracking status of deliverables
- Set up/structure instances of PM tools and manage development lifecycle
- Create PMO playbooks, phase gate templates, other trackers
- Reporting and preparing intuitive dashboards for client team including senior leadership
- Power Point presentations with business analysis and summaries as needed
- Prepare and manage RAID logs, stakeholder register etc.
- Work with applications like Excel, Power Point, Power Bi, Visio and SharePoint etc.
- Act as a central point of contact for the assigned project(s), manage communication plan
- Be insightful about the services the project provides and utilize that knowledge to make suggestions and/or recommendations
- Support quality and risk management, manage documentation
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high‑pressure environment
- Develop strong working relationships and leverage information gained to anticipate client needs
- Support RFI/RFPs with coordination and governance
Business Management
- Manage deployment and utilization of team assigned, span of 10-20, staff, senior and AMs
- Manage operational activities like coordination, supervision, work allocation and compliance
- Source and share feedback with team members, contribute to mid‑year/annual appraisal cycles
- Expand CSS integration across member firms through building networks and developing new services
- Involve in people initiatives including recruiting and training professionals and act as a role model
- Lead and collaborate on team and consulting level initiatives
- Quality control, review of the team's work, and ensuring overall adherence to SLAs and KPIs
- Support quality and risk management needs across consulting practices (InfoSec, Data Privacy etc.)
- To facilitate transition of new work from project initiation to 'business as usual' and focus on continuous improvement/efficiency gains
- Be insightful about the Consulting Fields of Plays and utilize that knowledge to make suggestions and/or recommendations
- Flexible to work onsite/work from office needed (hybrid)
- Flexible to work with different time zones
- Willing to work on Indian Holidays as per client requirement
- Willing to travel, within the country and internationally as required.
Skills and attributes for success
- Any Graduate/Post‑graduate, preferably B.Com/BBA/Economics/B.Tech or masters degree
- Good to have CSM/PSM, CAPM/Prince2/PMP, Project Management Fundamentals or Six sigma certification
- Previous relevant Industry or project management experience – ideally at least 8+ years with 1-2 years experience in mid‑level management role
- Strong computer skills, including advanced Microsoft suite (Excel, Power Point presentation etc.)
- Strong presentation skills, ability to analyse data, draw business inference and summaries
- Must have skills Power BI, Power apps, MS Project, Visio, SharePoint
- Experience with JIRA/Confluence, Azure DevOps, Trello etc.
- Experience of Agile project management, understanding of product backlog, EPIC & User stories etc.
- Strong English communication – both written and verbal
- Strong analytical/numerical skills, attention to detail even when dealing with routine tasks
- Confident, assertive, with strong communication and influencing skills
- Prior experience working with global clientele required
- Self‑starter, excellent team player, organized and self‑disciplined. Ability to work with senior leadership
