Manager, Business Consulting – Transformation Design and Execution
The Transformation Design & Execution practice at EY offers a career focused on becoming a specialist in complex business, technology and infrastructure transformation rather than a generalist. You will help US clients connect strategy to execution, design and launch Transformation/Program/Enterprise PMOs, shape target operating models, guide portfolio decisions and drive cross‑border delivery.
Your key responsibilities
- Design & stand‑up governance: Establish TMO/EPMO/PMO structures, assess maturity, run governance forums, perform gap analyses and design target operating models.
- Portfolio & benefits management: Lead intake, prioritization, budgeting, scenario planning, capacity planning and benefits/value tracking.
- Program delivery leadership: Plan and control complex programs, manage schedule, scope, risks, issues, dependencies and ensure clear handoffs between US and India teams.
- Reporting & analytics: Define KPIs; produce executive‑ready status reports and dashboards in Power BI, Tableau or Excel that blend quantitative and qualitative insights.
- PPM technology enablement: Guide the design, configuration and rollout of Planview/Clarity (or equivalent), integrate with Jira/Azure DevOps and MS Project/Primavera and enforce data quality.
- Business consulting: Understand business models and value drivers, leveraging financial, commercial and industry knowledge to deliver client value.
- People leadership: Manage and develop consultants and senior staff, set goals, give feedback, manage performance and lead staffing and coaching.
- Client & business development: Build trusted relationships, identify opportunities, shape proposals and lead parts of RFPs, proposals and SOWs.
- Quality & risk: Uphold EY quality, risk and data protection standards across borders; keep documentation clear and auditable.
- Idea generation: Contribute meaningful ideas and work productively with team members on independent assignments.

Qualifications – Must Have
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Systems, Engineering, Economics or Social/Organizational Science; graduate degree preferred.
- Experience: 9–12 years total relevant experience (or 7+ with a graduate degree) including 5+ years leading transformation/PMO/EPMO design, target operating models, process redesign, maturity assessment, capability roadmapping, technology implementation, change management, data & automation enablement; proven PMO design leadership.
- People leadership: Experience mentoring, developing talent and managing direct reports.
- Tooling: Hands‑on with Planview/Clarity (or equivalent), Jira or Azure DevOps, and MS Project/Primavera; able to guide Power BI/Tableau and advanced Excel reporting.
- Consulting mindset: Demonstrate client‑centric mindset, data interpretation, hypothesis‑driven analysis and outcome‑driven approach.
- Communication: Strong written and presentation skills, able to simplify complex topics for senior stakeholders.
- Consulting experience: At least 4+ years of external client‑facing consulting, managing client relationships in business or technology contexts.
- Time flexibility: Ability to flex working hours to support US‑based collaboration.
Nice to Have
- Advanced education (Master’s in Business, Engineering, Technology or related field).
- Certifications such as PMP, CSM, SAFe or other industry‑recognized PMO or program management credentials.
- Experience in Agile (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and Agile transformations.
- Experience managing cross‑border teams with multi‑time‑zone operations.
- Sector experience in Advanced Manufacturing & Mobility, Automotive, Consumer, Media & Entertainment, Life Sciences, Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities or Technology.
