Job summary

Wazirx is seeking a highly skilled Crypto Futures Trader to start and run our internal proprietary trading desk in Mumbai. The role combines active futures trading with stress-testing our platform to provide direct feedback to Product/Engineering teams.

You will design and execute profitable strategies, build automated bots via APIs and WebSockets, and ensure risk management through disciplined position sizing and leverage controls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of active trading experience in crypto derivatives/futures.
• Proficiency in Python for algorithmic trading and bot development; API integration experience.
• Deep understanding of order books, funding rates, liquidations, and margin mechanics.

We are looking for a highly skilled Crypto Futures Trader to start and run our internal proprietary trading desk. This is a dual-impact role: they will manage a capital pool trading on WazirX Futures while simultaneously stress-testing our platform to give our Product/Engineering teams the direct feedback needed to build a world-class futures product.

Responsibilities

• Trading: Design and execute profitable trading strategies (directional, arbitrage, market-making, etc) on crypto futures/perpetuals.
• API Bot Trading: Build, backtest, and deploy automated trading bots using APIs and WebSockets.
• Product Feedback Loop: Act as our "internal power user." Identify friction points, bugs, latency issues, and UI/UX gaps to help our product team improve the platform for customers.
• Risk Management: Manage leverage, position sizing, and capital preservation protocols.

Requirements

• 3+ years of active trading experience specifically in Crypto Derivatives/Futures. Proven track record of profitability.
• Tech Stack: Proficiency in Python (or similar) for algorithmic trading and bot development is a plus. Extensive experience with API integration.
• Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of order books, funding rates, liquidations, and margin mechanics.
• Mindset: Analytical and highly communicative. Able to translate trading problems into clear feature requests for product/engineers to improve.

• 3+ years of active trading experience specifically in Crypto Derivatives/Futures.
