Job summary

Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd is seeking a Credit Manager for Corporate - Support Services-Credit in Mumbai. You will lead a team of credit analysts, prioritize proposals with the business team, and guide analysts to produce high-quality notes and effective monitoring.

Key responsibilities include vetting appraisal notes, negotiating terms with senior business members, and formulating credit recommendations while closely monitoring the portfolio.

Qualifications

• At least 10+ years in Credit Underwriting.
• CA or MBA preferred.
• Good understanding of Accounting Standards and Balance Sheet Analysis.
• Knowledge of RBI regulations, SEBI and other statutory requirements.
• Strong interaction and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of credit analysts and prioritise proposals with the business team.
• Vett and review Credit Appraisal notes prepared by analysts.
• Guide analysts to write high-quality notes and monitor risk.
• Discuss Terms and Conditions with senior business colleagues for risk assessments/structuring.
• Assist analysts in formulating credit recommendations in notes.
• Monitor portfolio with the team and escalate non-compliances with action plans.
• Meet clients regularly to obtain updates and coordinate with various bank departments.
• Network within departments and obtain references from other banks.

• Guide the team of credit analysts to write better quality notes and effective monitoring
• Vetting of Credit Appraisal notes prepared by credit analysts
• Discuss with senior members of business team on Terms and Conditions for risk assessments/ structuring of the proposal, transaction
• Assist the credit analysts to formulate credit recommendation in the note.
