Job summary

Reid & Taylor in Gujarat seeks a textile fabric designer with 2–5 years of experience in dobby designs for premium shirting fabrics. The role focuses on CAD sample preparation, seasonal collection creation, and trend-driven development to meet buyer requirements.

You will collaborate with marketing and technical design teams, analyze fabric properties, and travel as needed to source and validate new designs for domestic and export markets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in textile shirting fabric designing with expertise in different dobby designing.
• Proficiency in fabric designing & different designing softwares.

Responsibilities

• Create unique dobby designs for premium shirting fabrics (OTC/domestic & export).
• Develop seasonal collections for Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter.
• Interpret buyer mood boards, trend lists and prepare CAD samples.
• Assess production feasibility for shirting fabrics.
• Demonstrate good colour sense for men's shirting.
• Coordinate with buyers for design needs and provide samples.
• Self-develop designs according to market trends.
• Analyze fabric aspects like count, construction & weaves.
• Maintain order records and liaise with marketing and technical design teams.
• Willing to travel for projects.

• Ability to create unique dobby designs for various segment OTC domestic & Export brands Premium mens Giza Cotton Shirting fabric in Textronic design Dobby software.
• Seasonal Collection development for Spring Summer & Autumn Winter
• Understanding buyer mood board, Trend list & arranging CAD/Samples
• Production feasibility knowledge of shirting fabric
• Good colour sense of Mens Shirting
• Co-ordinating with buyers for design requirements,
• Self-developments according to market trend
• Should have Fabric analysing skill like count, Construction & Weaves
• Maintaining records of orders & Communicating with marketing team & technical design team
• Willing to travel
