Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a seasoned Hardware Engineer to plan, design, verify and test complex electronic systems, focusing on place-and-route CAD flows for world‑class processors. You will work with cross‑functional teams to deliver best‑in‑class PPA across Digital/Analog/RF/DSP domains.

The role requires strong Tcl and Python scripting, hands-on CAD experience, and a track record of optimizing power, performance and area on cutting‑edge processes (5nm or lower).

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 6+ years hardware engineering or related work experience.
• Masters degree in related field with 5+ years experience or PhD with 4+ years experience are also acceptable.
• Preferred experience in place-and-route of high‑performance chips and proficiency in Tcl and Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate and release features in high‑performance place‑and‑route CAD flow.
• Architect and improve methodologies to optimize power, performance and area of silicon.
• Collaborate with global CPU physical design teams and provide tool flows support.
• Work with EDA vendors to resolve tool issues and define roadmaps.
