About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, confident, and patient-focused Counsellor to join Centre For Sight. The Counsellor will be responsible for understanding patients' concerns, explaining treatment and procedure-related information in a clear manner, supporting patients in making informed decisions, and ensuring a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel patients and attendants regarding recommended eye-care treatments and procedures.
- Understand patients' concerns, expectations, and financial or personal considerations.
- Explain treatment plans, procedures, benefits, risks, and pre/post-treatment requirements in simple language.
- Build trust and maintain a professional relationship with patients and their families.
- Coordinate with doctors, optometrists, front-office staff, and other clinical teams for smooth patient care.
- Follow up with patients regarding consultations, investigations, surgeries, and scheduled appointments.
- Maintain accurate patient counselling records and follow-up details.
- Handle patient queries and resolve concerns professionally, escalating clinical issues to the appropriate medical team.
- Support patient conversion and appointment/surgery scheduling while maintaining ethical counselling practices.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information and comply with hospital policies.
- Contribute to patient satisfaction and a positive overall experience at the centre.
- Achieve assigned counselling, follow-up, and patient-service targets.
- Participate in patient-awareness activities and counselling initiatives when required.

Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline preferred.
- Candidates with qualifications or experience in Healthcare Management, Psychology, Counselling, Hospital Administration, or related fields may be preferred.
Preferred Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in healthcare counselling, hospital operations, patient coordination, sales counselling, or a similar role.
- Experience in an eye hospital or healthcare organization will be an added advantage.
