Job summary

ALPAULS is seeking a Costing Engineer for its upholstery manufacturing facility in Bhiwandi.

The role requires a Diploma/BE/BTech in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering with at least 1 year of costing experience. You will prepare product costing, maintain BOMs, analyze material, labour, and overhead costs, and collaborate with Design, Production, Purchase, Quality and Sales teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma / BE/BTech in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of costing experience.
• Location: Bhiwandi.

Responsibilities

• Prepare product costing for sofas, chairs, recliners, and other upholstered furniture.
• Calculate material, labour, overhead, and manufacturing costs.
• Prepare and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) and costing sheets.
• Estimate material consumption for fabric, leather, foam, wood, plywood, hardware, and other components.
• Coordinate with Design, Production, Purchase, Quality, and Sales teams.
• Conduct cost variance analysis and identify cost-reduction opportunities.

Position: Costing Engineer

Location: Bhiwandi

Experience: Min 1 Year

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering

Salary: Upto 40k

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare product costing for sofas, chairs, recliners, and other upholstered furniture.
• Calculate material, labour, overhead, and manufacturing costs.
• Prepare and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) and costing sheets.
• Estimate material consumption for fabric, leather, foam, wood, plywood, hardware, and other components.
• Coordinate with Design, Production, Purchase, Quality, and Sales teams.
• Conduct cost variance analysis and identify cost-reduction opportunities.

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of product costing and cost accounting.
• Knowledge of BOM, material consumption, labour costing, overheads, and variance analysis.
• Strong MS Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis.
• Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Strong coordination, communication, and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of upholstered furniture manufacturing will be an added advantage.
