Job summary

Recex Pvt Ltd. is seeking an experienced Costing & Estimation Executive/Engineer with a strong background in furniture manufacturing, retail fixtures, joinery and interior fit-out projects.

You will prepare accurate cost estimates, material calculations, BOQs and production costing to support bidding and project execution. The role requires reading AutoCAD drawings, evaluating specifications and coordinating with design, procurement and production teams to ensure cost-effective solutions for

Qualifications

• Experience in furniture costing and estimation for furniture manufacturing, joinery or retail interior fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of materials like plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, hardware and finishes.
• Ability to read AutoCAD drawings and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for custom furniture, retail fixtures, display units and joinery works.
• Review AutoCAD drawings, technical specs and BOQs to calculate project costs.
• Prepare BOM, MTO and detailed costing sheets.
• Calculate material, labour, hardware, fabrication, finishing and transport costs.
• Coordinate with design, procurement and production teams for costing accuracy.
• Obtain and compare vendor quotations for competitive pricing.
• Analyse manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Prepare quotations and cost comparisons for new and ongoing projects.
• Monitor estimated vs actual production costs and highlight variations.
• Maintain costing records, rate analyses and material price databases.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Costing & Estimation Executive / Engineer with a strong background in furniture manufacturing, retail fixtures, joinery and interior fit-out projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, material calculations, BOQs and production costing.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for custom furniture, retail fixtures, display units and joinery works.
• Review AutoCAD drawings, technical specifications and BOQs to calculate project costs.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), Material Take-Off (MTO) and detailed costing sheets.
• Calculate material, labour, hardware, fabrication, finishing and transportation costs.
• Coordinate with the design, procurement and production teams for accurate costing.
• Obtain and compare vendor quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
• Analyse manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Prepare quotations and cost comparisons for new and ongoing projects.
• Monitor estimated versus actual production costs and highlight variations.
• Maintain costing records, rate analysis and material price databases.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in furniture costing, estimation, joinery or retail interior fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, hardware, metal, glass and finishing materials.
• Understanding of furniture manufacturing processes, production methods and material consumption.Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings and technical specifications.

Good knowledge of BOQ preparation, BOM, MTO and rate analysis.

Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and cost-control abilities.

Ability to coordinate with factory production and procurement teams.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in a furniture manufacturing factory or retail fit-out company.
• Experience in costing for custom-made furniture, retail fixtures and display units.
• Practical understanding of factory production costs, wastage and material optimisation.
