Job summary

POST A RESUME HR Consultancy in Ahmedabad region is seeking a cost estimation specialist in furniture manufacturing with 2–5 years of experience. You will analyze BOMs, read technical drawings, and prepare accurate cost calculations to support pricing and budgeting.

The ideal candidate has a Civil engineering background, strong MS Excel skills, and hands-on knowledge of CNC, cutting, edge-banding, drilling, assembly, finishing processes, and furniture hardware components.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years experience in cost estimation.
• Strong understanding of furniture manufacturing processes.
• BOM preparation and cost calculation expertise.
• Proficient reading of technical/furniture drawings.
• Advanced MS Excel for costing templates and data analysis.

Job description

Strong understanding of furniture manufacturing processes and materials.

Good knowledge of BOM preparation and cost calculation.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and furniture/shop drawings.

Good understanding of CNC, cutting, edge-banding, drilling, assembly and finishing processes.

Knowledge of furniture hardware such as hinges, drawer channels, lift-up systems, connectors, handles, etc.

Strong MS Excel skills, including formulas, lookup functions, pivot tables and costing templates.
