Job summary

Celeros Flow Technology is seeking a procurement specialist with engineering background to support costing and tendering. The role requires cost estimation of pump components, supplier management, and negotiation to secure favorable terms.

Based at the Ghaziabad office, the incumbent will interact with Tendering and SCM teams to win opportunities. Eligible candidates should have 4–8 years in pump component procurement, with strong English communication and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• B.E in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering from a recognized institute in India.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience in purchase of casting, forging, fabrication and machining components; pump industry preferred.
• Experience with Tendering/Proposal teams and costing as per drawings; excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Costing/Estimation of pump components: casting, machining, forging, fabrication.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects including labour, materials and equipment.
• Analyze specifications to develop accurate estimates and monitor scope changes.
• Identify cost variances and propose corrective actions to mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with teams to identify cost savings opportunities.
• Provide timely financial information to project managers and senior management.
• Negotiate favourable terms, volume discounts and long-term supplier contracts; issue requisitions and POs as needed.
• Support procurement process for customer-related and internal requirements.

Incumbent of this role will be part of our procurement team and will report to SCM Manager. This role provides support of existing working relationship between Tendering Team in order to generate sales. The performance of this individual will directly influence the Company’s external relationships; hence the key is to win opportunities.

In general, it is required the incumbent is from engineering background and technical knowledge about Pumps castings, machining, forging & fabrication and must have knowledge of estimation or costing of these items as per drawings. Also have knowledge of supplier management, cost reduction, lead time monitoring and management, quality monitoring and management. This position will be based at our Ghaziabad office.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides support to do the costing/Estimation of pump component commodity likes casting, machining, forging & Fabrication.


• Prepare detail Cost estimates for projects, including labour, materials, equipment and other related expenses.


• Analyse project specifications and requirements to develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates.


• Monitor and adjust cost estimates based on changes to project scope.


• Identify and analyse cost variances and recommended corrective actions to mitigate any financial risk.


• Collaborate with other team members to identify areas for cost savings.


• Provide accurate and timely financial information to project managers, senior management and other stakeholders.


• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to analyse data to make informed purchasing decisions.


• In addition, whenever required, negotiates favourable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers and prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services and supplies for customer-related business processes or for internal use as a generalist or in a combination of Purchasing Disciplines.

• Proficient in English language – both written and verbal. Excellent communicator to bring common purpose to tasks and strategies (internal – external)


• Competence in Microsoft Office packages – Excel, Word, PowerPoint are prerequisites

Mandatory Education and Experience

• B.E in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering in regular course from recognized Institute/University in India.


• 4-8 years of relevant industry experience in purchase of casting, forging, fabrication & machining components. experience in Pump industry is preferred. Should have worked with Tendering/Proposal teams in the past.


• Experience to do the costing/Estimation as per drawings.
