Job summary

Orcapod Consulting Services seeks a Value Engineering / VAVE Engineer (Mechanical & Electro-Mechanical) with 3+ years of experience. The role focuses on teardown benchmarking, DtV initiatives and cost optimization to improve manufacturability and performance.

You will collaborate with global teams to drive cost reduction and design-to-value concepts. The ideal candidate will drive DFMEA/PFMEA, GD&T, and BOM cost modeling, and will manage drawings and PLM changes in Windchill while supporting

Qualifications

• 3+ years of teardown benchmarking, value engineering and product cost optimization.
• Experience in DtV initiatives to reduce cost and improve performance.
• Hands-on with mechanical/electro‑mechanical product design and documentation.
• Experience with DFMEA and PFMEA methodologies.
• Knowledge of BOM analysis and cost modeling.

Responsibilities

• Execute teardown, benchmarking, VAVE and cost reduction projects.
• Identify and implement DtV opportunities for cost optimization.
• Develop cost-effective product concepts and feasibility studies.
• Perform material, process and supplier optimization.
• Carry out DFMEA/PFMEA, GD&T, tolerance stack‑up and validation activities.
• Review BOMs, processes and product cost structures; support PLM changes.
• Create engineering drawings and manage changes in Windchill PLM.
• Collaborate with global engineering, supply chain and manufacturing teams.

Position: Value Engineering / VAVE Engineer (Mechanical & Electro-Mechanical Products)

We are looking for an experienced VAVE / Cost Reduction Engineer with 3+ years of experience in teardown benchmarking, value engineering, and product cost optimization. The candidate will drive Design-to-Value (DtV) initiatives, identify cost-saving opportunities, develop innovative design concepts, and collaborate with global cross-functional teams to improve product performance, manufacturability, and cost competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
