Job summary

ESAB India seeks a skilled cost accounting professional to lead standard costing, ERP-driven cost updates, and BOM validation. You will drive Make vs Buy analyses, cost simulations for sourcing and capacity, and prepare financial models for capex and projects.

You will coordinate with production, SCM and quality, manage inventory valuations, and support audits. Strong analytičal skills and ERP proficiency are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in standard costing and ERP-based cost updates.
• Ability to prepare and review BOM, routing, and cost roll ups.
• Strong capability in financial modeling and variance analysis.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead standard costing and periodic cost updates in ERP
• Supported pricing decisions through new product costing and ECN impact analysis
• Conduct Make vs Buy analysis and cost simulations to support sourcing and capacity decisions.
• Prepared financial models for capex and projects (GM, EBITDA, NPV, IRR, ROCE)
• Coordinated with production, SCM and quality for accurate BOM, routing and MHR
• Managed inventory valuation, provisions and physical verification
• Coordinate statutory audit (BIG4) and internal audit.

• Lead and Manage product costing, process costing, analyze, and report on cost accounting data, including production costs, labour, raw materials, overheads, and other operational expenses.
• Prepare and maintain standard cost reports, conduct variance analysis (comparing actual costs to standard/budgeted costs), and identify discrepancies.
• Support new product costing / RFQ costing / quotation costing by providing accurate manufacturing cost estimates.
• Review BOM, update routing and cost roll up periodically.
• Maintain cost record as per cost audit and record Rule 2014
• Assist with financial analysis and forecasting for new projects, investments, or business opportunities.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and detailed reports as required by management.
