Job summary

Atmosphere Wellness in India seeks an experienced cosmetic Formulation Scientist to lead development and validation of skincare formulations, ensure regulatory licensing, and maintain robust documentation. You will collaborate with procurement, quality, and manufacturing to source materials, test stability, support product launches, and ensure labels meet Indian regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of cosmetic or personal care formulation experience, including 3+ years in Indian manufacturing.
• Proven experience with Indian cosmetic manufacturing licensing, GMP, regulatory compliance, and product testing.

Responsibilities

• Formulation Validation & Testing – Validate formulations through rigorous testing to ensure quality, stability, safety, and production readiness.
• Regulatory Licensing & Compliance – Manage cosmetic licensing and ensure products, processes, labelling, and claims meet Indian regulatory requirements.
• Raw Material Sourcing & Procurement – Define material standards and support Procurement in qualifying high-quality, reliable, and traceable suppliers.
• Formulation Development & Improvement – Develop and improve cosmetic and spa formulations across ELE|NA brands and private-label programmes.
• Documentation & Technical Records – Maintain accurate formulation, testing, manufacturing, specification, and regulatory records.
• Manufacturing Support & Collaboration – Support scale-up, production, troubleshooting, quality control, and cross-functional product launches.

• Strong knowledge of botanical formulations, natural ingredients, stability testing, and cosmetic labelling requirements.
• Experience with raw material specifications and supplier qualification.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Key attributes: Meticulous, commercially aware, self-directed, quality-focused, and collaborative.
