Job summary

HCP Wellness in Ahmedabad, India, is seeking an experienced Formulation Chemist to drive R&D across skin care, cosmetics and personal care lines. You will work within a team of laboratory professionals, taking ownership from concept to production, with exposure to regulatory and quality aspects.

You will develop innovative formulations, conduct stability and compatibility testing, and coordinate with sales and production to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Scientific degree in Cosmetic Science or Chemistry.
• Experience formulating cosmetic products (skin care, hair, etc.).
• Ability to take formulas from concept to launch via the NPD process.
• Knowledge of Cosmetic Regulations (e.g., CLP).
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude.
• Confident, driven and enthusiastic.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver formulations to meet customer briefs and trends.
• Manage formula development from concept to launch to production.
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, Management to ensure project success.
• Conduct testing: stability, pH, viscosity.

Are you an experienced Formulation Chemist, with a keen-eye for detail and a passion for creating industry-leading products driven by innovative technologies? You will be a part of laboratory professionals, and you will get the opportunity to wear many hats in this role, with exposure to various aspects of the product development process including Research, Regulatory, Quality and Process. Smart and knowledgeable in skin care & cosmetic manufacturing and formulation research and development, formulation of personal care, Skincare, Cream, Shampoo, Hair Oil, Conditioner, Face Wash, Body Wash, Body Lotion and Foot Care Etc. Person Must be Good in technology transfer and client coordination.

Key Role:

Research & Development Skin Care, Cosmetics, Oral Care, Color Cosmetics

Key Duties:

• Develop and deliver formulations to meet the customer brief, researching new trends, ingredients and technologies and incorporating these into NPD projects
• Manage the formula development from concept to launch, right through to production
• Liaise with other members of the team e.g. Sales, Production, Management etc. to ensure smooth running of the projects
• Conduct testing on products including stability, pH, viscosity etc.
• Organize testing and maintain accurate records
• Carry out COSHH assessments

Key Requirements:

• Scientific degree in a related field e.g. Cosmetic Science, Chemistry or similar
• Experience working on cosmetic product formulations e.g. skin care, body hair or hair care
• Able to develop formulas from concept to launch, following the NPD process
• Knowledge of Cosmetic Regulations e.g. CLP
• Great organizational skills
• Confident, driven and enthusiastic
