Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Core Optical Specialist to join our telecom and ISP operations team in Gurgaon. The role focuses on seamless optical networks, fault isolation, and proactive incident management to ensure high service availability.

You will monitor DWDM and related technologies, perform maintenance, and coordinate with field teams during outages. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Fundamentals of optical networking: DWDM/ROADM/OTN.
• Experience with NMS/EMS monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with incident and change management processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage DWDM, Optical Transport, and Fiber network alarms.
• Perform fault isolation, troubleshooting, and restoration activities.
• Execute maintenance activities and change implementations.
• Coordinate with field teams and vendors during outages.
• Handle incidents, service requests, and customer escalations.
• Maintain accurate ticket documentation and operational records.
• Support 24x7 NOC operations and bridge calls during major incidents.
